Hawthorne Annual Christmas Parade & Festival
The Hawthorne Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Christmas Parade and Festival is a holiday experience that you won’t want to miss. The festival, always on the 2nd Saturday of December, starts early in the day and continues to the grand finale with the Christmas Parade, pictures with Santa at the Alachua County Hawthorne Branch Library and Tree lighting at City Hall in the early evening. The holiday spirit is in full swing all day with craft vendors, many great food choices, entertainment and contest. Last year the donut eating contest pitted the Mayor against our Alachua County Sheriff Department. So mark your calendar, get ready to shop for some unique craft gifts, enjoy our entertainment and experience the small town fellowship.
